You could say I haven't been writing, but you'd be wrong! Of course, I haven't been writing here, but I have been doing writing elsewhere. For those of you who don't read the Prophet, that would be the place to check! Granted, you need to check seven pages in and all the way down in the corner, but you can.
That's just my way of saying that I've been up to a lot, even though it's really no excuse.
So yes! Chloe Carmichael, now on staff at the Features section of the Daily Prophet, official reporter on such scintillating topics as the Spelling Bee that recently took place in Diagon! But you can read all about that on your own time.
In other news: I've got a wonderful flatmate, a really great stapler, and this guy I know introduced me to the best chips place in the world.

[MATTHEW + MICHAELA] Just as an fyi, Gavin and I might possibly be dating. Or going on dates. [NEWSPAPER CLUB]Is anyone planning on attending the Hogsmeade easter egg hunt? So! Poll time. I was discussing with a friend of mine how passing notes to tell someone you like them seems sort of young (not that this is a bad thing, it's just how I think it feels), but of course this can't be proven if we don't have information. So, Hogwarts: opinions? What ways are acceptable for that sort of thing, what aren't, and does age have anything to do with any of it?
And while I'm at it, I forgot to ask something else previously that I said I would: best pick-up lines?

Just your friendly Newspaper Club reminder that any letters to the editor (or to any of our columnists, or opinion sections) are going to need to be in by by next Sunday at the latest if you want them to be considered for the next issue! This goes for any information or pictures you might want to send in. Handing them to me or putting them in the dropbox - you all know the one, Professor Birch has it spelled against anything but actual entries, with hilarious results otherwise - or even handing them to one of the other members or Professor Birch works. Our next issue will be out next Tuesday, following our usual every-two-weeks schedule. With special editions, of course (sorry to say that the squid invasion did not rate a special edition - we'll totally fit in a special edition if we're invaded by unicorns, though).
That aside!
Does frosting taste better coloured or uncoloured? This is a very important debate that needs your input. Also, if you pick coloured icing, which is best? I (and my anonymous nemesis) have a very important stake of a box of sugar quills riding on the coloured/uncoloured debate!
[NEWSPAPER CLUB] We're doing updates on the progress of the issue tomorrow! Be sure to bring in your article and/or research and/or pictures and/or whatever it is you're doing, please! Like usual, of course.
Also, we're going to need to whip something up about the society hunt, I think. Opinions? I can't see ignoring it as an option (it's news, it's happening, we're reporters), but we're going to need to be careful about it. We'll talk about it more tomorrow, but I just want a basic idea of where everyone is at. We can brainstorm a bit here on what we're doing with it - and who is taking it, although we might want to do a few articles, just to give a good background with whatever we have - but expect a council of war at the club meeting, okay?
